Reviewing your Application and Prescreening
Once you submit your information, it is reviewed within two weeks. Due to the substantial amount of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to everyone personally. If you are a shortlisted candidate, you will receive a phone call for a Telephone Prescreen Interview. At the end of the call, you will be given a timeline in which you will receive an update.
Interviewing
If you’re chosen as one of the best qualified candidates after the Telephone Prescreen Interview, we will contact you again in order to schedule further interviews.
Job Offer
Upon completion of the interviewing process and if you are chosen for the role, specifics such as starting salary will be discussed in further detail. From there an offer will be made and if accepted, a job offer letter will be sent to you.

Purdys Chocolatier is looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join us at our Kingsway Office in Vancouver, BC!
The Purchasing Clerk provides administrative support in two departments, the Purchasing Department in the replenishment ordering of assigned products and the Quality Assurance Department in the traceability program.
As the Purchasing Clerk, primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Initiate, track, monitor, expedite, purchase orders for product grouping as assigned. • Monitor consumables stock levels, initiate remedial action as required. • Monitor and manage all back-orders for assigned products. • Liaise with ‘customers’ and purchasing department to report anticipated or current stock shortages that may affect operations. • Coordinate the processing or purchase requisitions and purchase orders as assigned. • CheckWare data entry and analysis. • Work Order database entry and proof lot number match. • Data entry to uncoated and coated data from Production. • Assist in IQC – Incoming Quality Control for all printed packaging and selected expiry dated sensitive ingredients. • Assist in cycle counts. • Involvement in maintaining service levels (fill rates). • Involvement in improving inventory turns. • Generate/update purchasing & inventory status Reports as required. • Assist the Purchasing department as/when required.
All successful candidates must possess the following:
• Basic knowledge of Procurement/inventory control practices an asset but not essential • Working experience in a computerized environment, with competency in PC skills, using Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook • Must be detail orientated, organized and capable of working to deadlines • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload and make sound decisions • Strong communication skills and proven problem solving skills • Must be flexible in relation to handling work requirements - ability to adapt to change and work under pressure • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, team-orientated environment

In this important role, you work closely and cooperatively with all shop staff to ensure product levels are maintained.
As a Stockperson, you:
• Receive orders from the Warehouse and inform the Manager immediately of any overages or shortages as well as accurately process and prepare product returns to the Warehouse. • Demonstrate a good understanding of shelf life and are proficient in the product rotation and dating system. • Demonstrate the ability to keep shelves and bunkers stocked according to shop needs and keep an accurate running inventory of all product and supplies in the stockroom. • Support the team by helping filling chocolate trays, ensuring the garbage is taken out, floors are swept and clean, maintaining the stock room and back room of shop. • Keep an accurate running inventory of all product and supplies in the stockroom. • Protect shop inventory by adhering to loss prevention procedures, and by sharing any suspected policy violations with the Shop Manager or District Manager. • Work closely and cooperatively with all shop staff.
