Reviewing your Application and Prescreening
Once you submit your information, it is reviewed within two weeks. Due to the substantial amount of applications we receive, we are unable to respond to everyone personally. If you are a shortlisted candidate, you will receive a phone call for a Telephone Prescreen Interview. At the end of the call, you will be given a timeline in which you will receive an update.

Interviewing
If you’re chosen as one of the best qualified candidates after the Telephone Prescreen Interview, we will contact you again in order to schedule further interviews.

Job Offer
Upon completion of the interviewing process and if you are chosen for the role, specifics such as starting salary will be discussed in further detail. From there an offer will be made and if accepted, a job offer letter will be sent to you.

The main goal is to work with the store design team to produce renderings of multiple concepts through sketches and Sketch Up. The Designer must be able to work efficiently and independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

In this role, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Developing concepts for overall store design, fixtures, features and finishes

• Sketching concepts with the team

• Bringing concepts to life on Sketch Up

• Managing quick time frame for deliverables

Successful Candidates Must Have:

• Excellent technical skills with Sketch Up, AutoCad and the Adobe suite

• Excellent conceptual design skills

• Ability to sketch in brainstorming sessions and execute further detail

• Ability to be a team player with creative input and the ability to execute ideas

We are looking for enthusiastic Call Centre Customer Service & Sales Representatives to join the Group Purchase and Fundraising teams for a Seasonal Contract at our Head Office in Vancouver, BC! 

Purdys is most famous for our chocolate shops - in addition to that, we are proud to have the Group Purchase and Fundraising Departments as extremely successful outlets that expand our sales channels. Group Purchase department creates revenue thru telephone and online sales. The Fundraising department creates business by promoting our products for usage with other organizations' fundraising initiatives. An example of this is to promote Purdys to schools whose fundraising programs involve students selling boxes of chocolates etc.

This position is an excellent opportunity to expand your customer service and sales experience while selling our award winning chocolate products. Your success will come from your ability to engage with customers over the phone, sell, and work in a team environment. 

The yearly hours of work are estimated to be:

• September to mid-December

• Shifts start anywhere from 6am to 9am

As a Call Centre Customer Service & Sales Representative, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Cold calling and calling existing customers to increase Group Purchase and Fundraising Sales

• Ensure follow up with potential customers through phone, email or in person contact

• Explaining and promoting use of online order system to customers

• Data entry

• Troubleshooting online and over the phone

• Seek new sales opportunities to increase sales for Group Purchase and Fundraising programs by contacting potential clients

• Arranging online ordering demonstrations for existing customers

 

All successful candidates must have:

• Previous telemarketing and customer service experience

• Advanced level of spoken and written English

• Ability to lead and influence others in a team environment

• Intermediate computer skills (data entry, MS Office, Outlook, Internet)

• Ability to work under pressure and with extremely tight timelines (it can get extremely busy for our Christmas season!)

• Advanced online troubleshooting skills (while a customer is on the phone)

• Strong multi-tasking skills

• Ability to lift 5lbs, work in busy call centre environment, meet deadlines and be adaptable to change


Our head office is located in a transit friendly area. It is a short walk to the bus stop and the “100 Marpole/22nd Street Station” bus runs every 10 minutes and will take you to Marine Drive Canada Line station, or 22nd Street Skytrain station. Free parking is also available on site.

Purdys is excited to announce that we are looking for a Programmer Analyst to join our IT team in Vancouver, BC!  This member of the Purdys' IT team reports to the IT Manager and is accountable for project results and ensuring that actions, deliverables, solutions and/or advice are in line with established business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a computer science degree or equivalent work experience combined with a minimum of 6 years relevant working experience in software design and development in enterprise environments. The candidate should be highly credible with demonstrable ability to engage as a trusted advisor to senior IT and business management on emerging technologies, especially on e-commerce platforms, and how best to exploit them for business advantage.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with development of in house software as well as integrating existing enterprise level software with E-Commerce platforms using such technologies as RESTful systems using WCF

• Assess business needs and liaison with business users

• Write/modify reports as needed.

• Assist in implementing new E-commerce platform and migrating related data

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Strong communication skills

• Project Management experience is an asset

• In-depth understanding of enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM and POS

• Experience with supply chain and planning/demand forecasting would be an asset

• Demonstrated knowledge of e-commerce platforms

• Experience and knowledge of inventory systems (ideally in a manufacturing environment) would be an asset.

Technical Skill Set Required:

• Good understanding of and ability to communicate Object Orientated principles

• Knowledge of current trends in software development including, patterns/anti-patterns, SOA, MVC and Web services

• Excellent Database scripting (SQL)

• Expertise with Microsoft .Net based technologies including, C#, ADO.Net and VB.Net

• Working knowledge of Crystal Reports

• Experience with BI tools is an asset

The goal of the Graphic Designer is to deliver designs consistent with the company brand, vision and that of the Premium Chocolatier. Working in a fast paced environment the Graphic Designer must be able to work efficiently, independently and manage many projects and deadlines.

Duties, Responsibilities, & Projects will include but are not limited to:

• In Shops POS materials consistent with the merchandising plans

• Product packaging – year round or seasonal – designs packaging using a vector program that must be consistent with the current criteria as determined by the Merchandising Team

• Catalogues and Brochures – formats according to layout provided and within the colour and style key that is determined by the Merchandising Team

• Website – ability to format the ad concepts provided by Marketing using both vector and raster programs blended successfully to achieve the look determined by the Merchandising Team. This could include online advertising, social media concepts and more

• Print Ads – Newspaper – Magazines – Posters – ability to format the ad concepts provided by Marketing using imaginative techniques to achieve both professional and innovative results. This work must be understood in order to aid the assignee or to provide this service.

• Labels – Stickers – Nft – Barcodes – to create these items using any tools provided to the specifications taken from Production


Successful Candidates Must Have:

• 2 years working experience in one or more of the following: consumer goods packaging, catalogues, brand or retail collateral, social media and advertising campaigns

• Ability to be a Team Player with creative input and ideas and ability to execute the ideas into a brand consistent result

• Full and complete knowledge of vector and raster type files

• Full and complete knowledge of colour: CMYK, RGB and Spot (matching the palette to the project type)

• Full and complete knowledge of file preparation for output by a service provider (printer or internet)
