Community Involvement

For more than 100 years, Purdys has been a ‘sweet’ part of our communities, whether right here at home supporting local initiatives or abroad supporting our cocoa farmers.

All told, Purdys’ fundraising, donations and sponsorship initiatives give back more than $3 million every year to community organizations.

And at Purdys, we support a healthy, active lifestyle for everyone. Sure, chocolate is fantastic as part of a balanced nutrition, but did you know that one of Purdys’ very own ran a marathon…in the Sahara desert?

Or that we run, walk or bike to raise funds for many local charities?

Much like Purdys’ CEO Karen Flavelle passed the torch at the 2010 Winter Olympics, we hope to pass the spirit of healthy living on to you.

Non-profit or charitable organizations interested in receiving in-kind gifts from Purdys Chocolatier can
apply online. You’ll receive an answer by email, so please provide us with a valid email address.

So that you may enjoy our freshest chocolates, we will answer all donation requests within 3 weeks of the event date.

As donations are pickup in-shop only, at this time we are only able to help support organizations in BC, Alberta and Ontario. We are unable to honour requests for private events or international relief. However, Purdys contributes significantly to important global causes, most recently donating to Ebola relief efforts together with the World Cocoa Foundation.

If a donation is not the right fit for your organization, have you considered Purdys’ seasonal or year-round fundraising opportunities? Learn more about fundraising with Purdys.
