Karen Flavelle, owner and President of Purdy’s Chocolates, was named a community torchbearer in Kelowna, and carried the torch 300 meters on January 25, 2010.

This year, Purdy's has partnered with VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver for the Great A-Mazing Egg Hunt, happening on Saturday April 3, 2010 from 10 a.m. to noon. Come out and meet Mr. Bunny and Purdy's Philbert the Hedgehog and go on the hunt for yummy Purdy's chocolates!
This event is for families with children ages 3 – 11. Pre-registration is required. Registrations accepted March 1st – 19th only in person at The Garden Shop at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Registrations will not be accepted after March 19. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Prices: Garden Members: $4 per child (6-11 years); non-members: regular Garden admission applies for both adults and children. Children under 6 are free but still must pre-register.  The chocolates in our Unlimited Luxury pack were named the Best New Piece by Retail Confectioners International in 2009. The Unlimited Luxury is an extension of our Sweet Georgia Browns and include our signature salted pecans, draped in caramel and milk chocolate Sweet Georgia Browns; Nutty McWhites which are macadamias covered in caramel, topped with white chocolate and cranberries; peanuts in a caramel embrace, crested with milk chocolate and roasted almonds covered in caramel and dark chocolate.
The newest shopping centre in Canada opens, as does Purdy's Chocolates at CrossIron Mills in Alberta.
August 2009
Purdy's Chocolates is now open at CrossIron Mills Mall in the city of Rocky View, Alberta. It was estimated that over 70,000 people would attend the grand opening of Canada's newest shopping destination, on August 19. Purdy's Chocolates now has a total of 57 store locations throughout three provinces - British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Purdy's Chocolates is now open at Fairview Mall in Ontario. This brings the total number of stores in the GTA to seven! Could Purdy's be coming to your neighbourhood? Keep checking our website for updates on new store openings. Plans are in the works for a new store out west opening August 2009, at CrossIron Mills.

 Purdy's Chocolates celebrated the launch of the Vaughan Mills Mall Shopping Shuttle at The Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto in style. The Purdy's chocolate bar lounge was a hit with the attendees who enjoyed delectable chocolates.

 Purdy's Chocolates is proud to announce a partnership with Island Farms to create the first ever line of Purdy's Premium Ice Cream. Now available at select fine supermarkets and grocery stores in British Columbia, the ultra premium ice cream comes in five delicious flavours modelled after Purdy's signature chocolates ~ Hedgehog, Sweet Georgia Browns, Mint Meltie, Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate. The 473 ml tubs of ice cream are available at: Overwaitea Save On Foods, IGA Marketplace, Thrifty's Foods, Choices, T&T Supermarket as well as Fairway Market, Country Grocer and Quality Foods on Vancouver Island.

The JUNO Gala Dinner & Awards ceremony is an elegant evening where CARAS and the Music Industry honour the nominees. Approximately thirty-two JUNO awards are presented at the Awards Gala. This exclusive ceremony is attended by artists, industry executives, sponsors, VIPs and local dignitaries.

Purdy’s Chocolate Connoisseur Peter Blanchet Takes to the Airwaves

 Purdy’s Chocolates' Peter Blanchet is doing double duty - not only is he Store Manager of Purdy's at Vaughan Mills mall in Ontario, he's also a Chocolate Connoisseur. Peter has made several appearances on the Wine Ladies radio show - discussing two of life's greatest pleasures - wine and chocolate. He's also conducted chocolate tastings and wine and chocolate pairing classes for the LCBO. And regulary appears on Chex TV Durnham on Lifestyles with Rita Nave - discussing the wonderful world of chocolate. Peter has also made appearances at the National Women's Show and the International Home Show in Ontario.
