Purdy’s Marvelous Macaroons


2 large egg whites at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
pinch of salt
1 Purdy’s Classic Milk or Dark Chocolate Bar - melted
1 1/2 cups shredded coconut

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

In a bowl combine egg whites, sugar and salt. 
Beat with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form (about 5 minutes).
Fold the melted chocolate into the stiffened whites. 
Do the same with the coconut.
Drop by tablespoon onto a parchment-lined cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake for 20 minutes or until firm and set.
Cool for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before moving to a wire rack. 

Makes 1 dozen cookies.
