Purdy's Chocolates - English Toffee

English Toffee

An amazing combination of flavours and textures, this crunchy toffee is crafted from brown sugar caramelized in grade-one dairy butter.

Each piece is carefully dipped in milk chocolate and hand rolled in crushed roasted California almonds.

180g bag contains 3 English Toffee bars, packaged in a cellophane bag with a bow.

300g box contains 5 English Toffee bars, packaged in a purple box with a bow.

English Toffee is neither English nor toffee. It’s American, and it’s a brittle. It was created to fill the requests of American tourists who journeyed to the early Purdys stores in BC.

The initial Purdys recipe seemed only to work using Alberta cream rather than cream from the local BC dairies.

Addicted since 1982
My first Alaskan cruise in 1982 stopped in Vancouver and Victoria.A co- worker from Vancouver asked to bring back Purdy's Toffee. You were in the Empress Hotel then.I bought her a box, had a taste and bought for myself. Been back 15 times. Each time bring back the gold!!! Only now I buy it as gifts at xmas and if I don't ,I catch you know what from the whole family and friends and business associates!!I have successfully addicted everyone. When on diets they beg me not to give to them cause they can't keep their hands off it.Even if they have frozen it!!!! I tell everyone this is the best toffee they will ever taste, so try all the stores in the whole world and I know you will come back saying "PURDY'S IS THE BEST!" THANK YOU PURDY'S ! YUM YUM YUM FROM THE USA.

When it's okay to lie to your friends...
I received this as a gift from my friend Ashli when I was recovering from surgery....was it wrong of me to tell her I was still not feeling well just to get some more English Toffee? I think not...this is so good, you have to try it.
