Yield - 1 Serving
- 3 basil leaves
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 oz rye whisky
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- Sparkling wine (for fizz)
- In cocktail shaker, muddle 3 basil leaves.
- Shake over ice with 1/2 oz lemon juice, 1 oz rye whisky and 1/2 oz simple syrup.
- Pour into champagne flute and top with sparkling wine.
- Garnish with basil leaf.
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- Combine ingredients in a pot and bring to a boil.
- Let cool.
