Shop Reopenings
As a 113-year-old Canadian family business, we are so thankful to have such an amazing team at Purdys and such supportive customers across the country. Thank you so much for all your support during this crisis. We are overwhelmed and grateful for all the customers who bought their chocolates online, through our Fundraising and Group programs or through one of our Curbside locations. Your support is what has kept us going for the past few months.
Many provincial governments and health authorities are outlining their reopening plans and phases. Purdys will be cautiously and carefully following their guidance as we work towards our reopening.
The first shops will reopen May 22nd in the Prairies including Polo Park in Winnipeg, St Vital in Winnipeg and Midtown Mall in Saskatoon.
We will begin operations with reduced hours, a reduced offering for purchase and limited staffing. Our shops will be open everyday from 11am-5pm. We’ll have a selection of your favourite chocolates and chocolate bars ready for you to enjoy including Hedgehogs, Sweet Georgia Browns, Himalayan Pink Salt Caramels and assorted boxes. We won’t be offering ice cream or ice cream bars at this time but we hope to be scooping for you soon.
We will be following strict protocols in our shops including cleaning and sanitizing, limiting the number of customers in at one time and physical distancing measures, which include specific entry and exit points through our shops. We will only accept payment by debit or credit card, we won’t be accepting cash at this time. We will have a limited number of Purdys staff to ensure we maintain required physical distancing. We know our customers will help us manage through the changing environment and limitations during this time. Our teams on the front lines really appreciate your kindness and support.

PURDYS SHOPS CONTINUE TO BE CLOSED
Thank you for all your support during this challenging time. We feel so fortunate to have such amazing and loyal customers. Thank you from our entire team at Purdys.
We would like to take a moment to express our appreciation for all the front-liners who are working tirelessly for the health of our country. We thank you for showing up at work, for every long shift and every interaction with a patient who is in your care.
We continue to monitor and navigate the public health need, the need for the safety of our Purdys team and our customers’ needs during the COVID-19 global situation. Given the continued risk, our shops will remain closed indefinitely. This includes all 84 Purdys shops across Canada to limit face-to-face interactions and slow the spread of this virus.
We continue to support the operation of purdys.com and online ordering. Due to limited resources and potential increased volume you might experience minimal delays receiving your orders and in the response time from the call center. Our Purdys Fundraising program and Group Purchase programs continue to operate as we near the final order deadline date for the Easter season. Thank you to all the returning and new program coordinators who chose Purdys for their initiatives this year.

We're committed to keeping everyone safe.
During the COVID-19 global situation our first and foremost focus is the care and well-being of our Purdys teams and our customers.
Like many other business leaders, we are navigating an unprecedented situation which comes with difficult decisions.
We have decided to temporarily close all 84 Purdys shops across Canada to further protect our customers and Purdys team with the goal of doing our part to slow the spread of the virus and minimize impact. Our Purdys shops will be closed effective March 17th to March 31st, 2020 at which time we will reassess the situation.
We have decided to continue the operation of purdys.com, Purdys Fundraising program and Group Purchase programs, as well as our Factory Kitchen and distribution.
Due to limited resources and potential increased volume you might experience minimal delays receiving your orders and in the response time from the call center. We will continue to monitor and communicate any further impacts to these areas.
Further response plans are in place to allow our team to adjust as needed for our employees and customers’ safety. During this time, we will ensure the care of our Purdys team, both part-time and full-time.
We feel very fortunate to have loyal customers who express concern for our company and our employees. It is not lost on us! We are very proud to work with a team who is solely focused on the care of our customers and our teams!
