Shipping and Delivery
All orders are shipped from our warehouse located in Vancouver, BC NOT from individual Purdys Retail Shops.
Warm Weather Shipping
As temperatures rise, we do our best to ensure your chocolate arrives in the best condition possible.
- Orders are packed in insulated containers with reusable ice packs to help keep your chocolate cool and reduce the risk of melting. We only use express delivery services.
- When possible, we highly recommend shipping to a business address rather than a residential address to keep your package in a temperature-controlled environment as long as possible.
- To keep your chocolate from being in transit more than a few days, we are only shipping orders Monday through Thursday.
- Endeavouring to protect your gift of chocolates, we have made a temporary change to our shipping procedure. With the current heat dome being experienced on the West Coast and destinations across Canada, orders placed Wednesday, July 27th onward will ship out from us next week. Please note our offices will be closed for the upcoming BC Day holiday, Monday, August 1st.
We guarantee the quality of our products and take great care to ensure your gifts arrive in perfect condition (as if you'd delivered them yourself). Exceptions may apply for international shipments as we cannot guarantee the quality of chocolates shipped outside of Canada & US.
If your order is incorrect or damaged in any way, please call 1.888.478.7397 ext 4 or email email@example.com within 15 days of delivery and we will promptly send a replacement. We do not accept returns.
Get all your shopping done early with pre-orders.
Chocolates on pre-order aren't ready to ship yet (because we're still hard at work making them at our Factory Kitchen!). Each pre-order has an estimated availability for shipping date which is when the chocolates should be ready to ship to you. This date is found at the top of the product page; please make note of the date and the estimated shipping time before purchasing. Estimated availability might also change but we do our best to keep to the schedule.
When you purchase pre-orders:
- Your credit card is charged when you place your order.
- We ship your entire order together when all products become available to ship and notify you by email. This may take up to 5 weeks. When placing pre-orders, you agree to these terms.
If your order includes both pre-order and in-stock items:
To receive in-stock items immediately, please select the Ship to Multiple Addresses tab during checkout and place your pre-orders in a separate shipment, even if you're shipping all your products to the same address. We will notify you by email when each shipment is sent.

Choose Same-Day Pickup or Delivery with DoorDash
Together with DoorDash, we’re offering same-day pickup and delivery service. Now you can order select chocolates from our special DoorDash menu and pick up your order at your nearest shop, or choose delivery to get treats delivered to your front door—all in the same day! Limited products available.

Shipping within Canada
We have extended the timeframe in which your order will be processed and shipped to ensure your order meets your delivery expectations and to allow our team to work safely in our fulfillment center.
An order placed today online or by phone will be processed and shipped out from us within 3 business days. This means it could take a total of 5-10 business days to receive your order, depending on the service you select.
Shipping is calculated per delivery (shipment to a single address). For orders with multiple deliveries, shipping is calculated for each delivery depending on the destination. Applicable taxes are applied at checkout. Taxes are calculated according to the destination (i.e. the province or territory where you are sending your gifts).

Shipping rates to Nunavut or other remote or rural areas may be higher and will be calculated during checkout based on our cost. Shipping fees will be $30.00+. These orders may also take longer to arrive.
FREE Shipping on Deliveries $99 and Up Merchandise total must be $99 or more per individual address, after discounts and before taxes.
For multi-ship, shipping will be calculated based on each individual mailing address.
Shipping to the USA
US orders will be processed and shipped once a week.
Please note that the FDA requires that all orders shipped to the USA must include a recipient's first and last name, even if shipping to a business.
Orders sent to the USA are shipped by Fedex Standard. We cannot ship to PO boxes, or APO/FPO addresses. Shipping is calculated per delivery (shipment to a single address). For orders with multiple deliveries, shipping is calculated for each delivery depending on the destination.

We do not guarantee that the chocolates will arrive in perfect condition - they can sometimes be crushed or melted in transit or often opened while being held at customs. International shipments will not be replaced or refunded. Orders shipped outside of Canada are not charged Canadian taxes; however, all orders pass through customs and are subject to import duties, taxes, and custom processing fees. A customs invoice will arrive with your parcel or may follow in the mail. Recipients are responsible for paying these additional fees.
Purdys Chocolatier is unable to provide estimates for customs fees. Check with your local customs office for more information.

Order Cancellation & Changes
We do not normally accept order cancellations or changes once an order has been processed. If you have a question about your order, please contact us at 1.888.478.7397 ext 4 and quote your order number.
When your order is shipped, we’ll send you a tracking email.
