Yield - 24 cookies
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Salted Butter Toffee Bars, coarsely chopped
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer, cream together butter, white sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
- Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add baking soda and water to the batter, then add the salt.
- Stir in flour, then gently fold in the chocolate chunks.
- Drop or scoop large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until edges are nicely browned.
